His life changes dramatically when he meets the person living next door when the fire alarm goes off. Michael didn't woo me in the same way Will did; he and Mia have chemistry and are very loveable, but the tropes used didn't bring anything I loved the first book in Marissa Clarke's Anderson Brothers series, Sleeping With the Boss, so to say I was excited to get my hands on Neighbors with Benefits is a wee bit of an understatement. It is about growth and love and learning who one is. This is for sure a must read! Review copy provided for an honest review. Then the characters were extremely entertaining.
However, he discovers she has only burnt something in the oven and tries to make sure none of the water from the overflowing tub seeps over into his apartment. Mia and Michael are so different in their every day life, but at the same time, they are both driven. Michael is completely focused on his work, in his family company. The roaches are a long story involving three science-crazed kids and a soft spot for rescue animals. In this delightful romance, straight-laced Michael has his hands full with his new housesitting neighbor Mia, a free spirited gal who is just as good at hiding her real self as Michael is. I did not receive any compensation for providing my opinion.
Michael and Mia couldn't be more different and I loved getting to be in their heads. When these two meet up it is not a match made in heaven. The individuals starring on the show this season include Ben, Dedra, Jason, Cristen, Lori, Eric, Tony and Diana. Thank you Marissa for another great read. I love how they balance each other out.
When they finally meet, they are instantly attracted to each other but fought it because they didn't like the little they knew of each other. I realize now that when Michael and Mia were alone I really enjoyed the book but it's when they were with other people that things become more trivial. I really enjoyed this story! Mia is to be the maid of honor at her friend's wedding and her ex is the best man. It was a super fun read with interesting characters that made the story come to life. The only problem is that, despite working so well together, they can also combust together. He comes home and the neighbor who is house sitting is blaring music again and creating all kinds of problems for his self control.
His therapist's attempt to lighten him up by having him housesit her dog wreaks all sorts of havoc in his tightly controlled life, not the least of which is his dog's obvious affection for Mia over him. I can't wait for the next installment of the next Anderson brother. I'll definitely be checking out the other books in the series. She agrees and it doesn't take long for them to see through each others personalities to the better qualities they have. Even though there is instant attraction between them, the complete opposites in their personalities drive each other crazy. Even the swingers community rejected the show.
I have to say Marissa did not disappoint me in this book. The author does know how to keep us entertained with her characters. Being trashy tends to be more acceptable when it works. His company is the only thing he wants to be responsible for. Click through our gallery to check out some of the photos of the cast members you will be watching on the new show. The two have this love-hate relationship with amazing chemistry and playful zingers.
The camera obliges momentarily, then simply finds another angle. It's a Sodom and Gomorrah-type place. Great characters, a fun and hot storyline, just perfect for what I was in the mood for. Michael came across as a guy who let the work pressure take over and neglected other aspects of his life, without having any major emotional issues or a dark past that make up 90% of romance book backstories. A swingers party ensues that is filled with manufactured drama, to the point where one of the women asks the producer not to film the exchange where she confronts the offending guest.
It's the second in the Anderson Brother's series though easily read as a standalone and Michael is the one who is always in control of every situation. Both characters have a lot to learn and maybe two weeks was crazy fast to learn it all, but who cares ; I'm looking forward to read about the next brother. Loved the plot, loved the characters, loved the ending. The plot was great and moved along really well. He has a routine he follows to the T and everything must be in order. People say opposites attract but sometimes what seems like opposites may be the same. It's the second in the Anderson Brother's series though easily read as a standalone and Michael is the one who is always in control of every situation.
